Seymour Krelborn is the nerdy main character that works in a flower shop in Skid Row. To support is nerdy, unconfident character I have chosen his costume to contain the following items:
Big thick black-rimmed glasses
Khaki pants
Brown dress shoes
Flannel shirt
Suspenders
To me the black, thick-rimmed glasses and suspenders symbolize the personality of the character he seems to be in this play. As for the flannel dress shirt and khakis, I thought that they tied the whole look together.

Audrey is the co-worker and the women that Seymour is secretly in love with. Her character comes off as a blonde bimbo. She seems like she would wear something tacky and tight fitting that probably would expose a lot. I’ve decided to give her a leopard print, really tight fitting dress with black high heels. She will also wear fishnet stolkings. Along with her super blonde hair and bright red lipstick, I think that the outfit will give the audience an idea of what kind of person she is before they even get to know her character.

Mr. Mushnik is the shop owner who has taken in Seymour as a boy, but also is quick to reap the rewards of his discover of the mysterious plant. This character was the hardest for me to imagine. I couldn’t think of anything that would emphasize his loud, cranky, and greedy nature but as a business owner I pictured him in a dress shirt and tie, with a pair of black dress pants to go with it.

Orin Scrivello was the easiest to envision. Orin has two different costumes that he wears during the play. The first is a black leather jacket and jeans with holes in them. He will have a chain wallet and jet black greased up hair. This is the outfit he wears when he rides his motorcycle. His second outfit is the one he wears as the dentist when he is operating on patients. He will have a white doctors coat, with one of those round head mirrors that doctors use to where and a white face mask covering his mouth.
